C. André Christie-Mizell is a social psychologist and an (associate) professor in the Department of Sociology at Vanderbilt University. He is also the Senior Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education in the College of Arts and Science at Vanderbilt. Moreover, Dr. Christie-Mizell is a leading scholar of race-gender differences in heath and well-being and has authored or coauthored more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles in his field. He has received numerous grants in support of his research and is Faculty Fellow at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Center for Health Policy at Meharry Medical College. In clinical practice, he treats children and adolescents with mood and behavior disorders.
Matthew Haber is a teacher and administrator at University School of Nashville, where for over a decade he has taught a senior seminar called Social Conscience. Many of the lesson plans made available on this site were drawn from that experience.
